A design / build turnkey project consisting of a 22,000 S.F. storage hangar and an attached 10,000 S.F. administrative hangar support building to enhance the mission of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Air and Marine Facilities (AMF), on a 136,000 S.F. site located on the Rafael Hernandez International Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
The new leed certified hangar and support facilities were required to integrate all security and communications systems with existing facilities previously developed on the premises, be capable of sheltering the four largest aircraft in use by the unit at the same time, and accommodate forty (40) law enforcement officers who were previously housed in temporary trailer facilities on site.
